Original Item: Only One Available. These are very nice pairs of Japanese WWII Officer and Non-Commissioned Officer binocular field glasses. Field glasses have no internal prisms that can be knocked out of alignment so their main advantage is that they are durable, making them a good choice for file combat operations.
The Field Glasses Included Are:
- 4x10 JES Rangefinders: These are a very beautiful service used condition pair. In the right eyepiece it looks like there is a crack, but it is not. When looking through the binos, if you focus your right eye and adjust your positioning, you’ll see “crosshairs” with increments of measure next to the horizontal and vertical tack marks. A rangefinder is a device that measures distance from the observer to a target.
- Suzuki Tokyo 7x50mm 7.1°: This is a nice set of WWII issue Japanese army officer binoculars offered in worn condition. The binoculars are fully functional, with each side having an independent focus diopter control. Optics are mostly clear, and able to focus accurately, though the interior mirrors and optics could definitely use a cleaning.
The binoculars are marked SUZUKI/ TOKYO on the back of the left barrel, a known manufacture of binoculars during the WWII Period. The right barrel is marked with the specifications of the binoculars: 7X 50 mm / 7.1°.
These 2 are excellent examples of genuine service utilized binoculars from the Second World War. Comes ready to complete your Officer groupings!
